Andrej Spiridonov is an evolutionary paleontologist and geobiologists at the Vilnius University. He works on the development of fundamental frameworks, and quantitative methods which cross and combine evolutionary phenomena through scales of time, space and biological individuality, with special interest in macroevolution and evolutionary biogeography. His studies of global diversity patterns revealed the time-scale dependent nature of macroevolutionary dynamics, with Earth system processes playing major role in controlling randomness and determinism.
